Abstract
Evidence on the use of bicycling and walking for travel in Copenhagen, and its development over time is presented. Available data consists of traffic counts on selected locations, in some cases allowing a
representation of the development through decades; as well as the national travel surveys mode, purpose, as well as origin and destination of trips are registered. The potential for the application of tracking technologies to analyze bicycling, and develop plans and tools to promote CO2-neutral travel is discussed.
